Musicians

East Fork Junction Bluegrass Band is a group consisting of Tom Hill (lead guitar,vocals) Mike Thompson (Banjo ,vocals) Vicki Abbott (Dog House Bass,vocals) Andy Rink (rythm guitar,vocals) Chip Giddens (rythm guitar,vocals) and Rick Hayes (Mandolin-- when they're lucky). They met through local Jams and put together their own band. They pride themselves in traditional Bluegrass and Country music. They are all from Cincinnati Ohio.
Kyle English has found success after departing from the traditional path trodden by many artists in bands. Performing in and out of bands over the past 10 years Kyle decided to focus more on a solo career.  Being a singer/songwriter is more liberating than the confinement that comes from working with other members,  says Kyle. Since branching off he has been able to hone his musical craft; finding a voice and style that upon hearing is easily identified as his own. Constantly performing and writing Kyle continues to craft songs that are heartfelt and catchy.
The Kinner Express will entertain at Bethel's Bam Fest on Saturday, May 8th at noon in Burke Park. This group of local musicians from the Bethel area feature a fiddle, mandolin, dulcimer, bass, and guitars. They have performed in such venues as the Bethel Lions Club 2009 Bethel Pavillion Series, Owensville Fox Farm 2009 Gospel Series, Mason Christian Village in Mason, Southern Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Milford Buskerfest, Art in The Park Festival in Augusta, KY, Anderson Historical Society, Williamsburg Christmas Walk, Eastside Christian Church in Milford, and East Fork State Park near Bethel. The Kinner Oldtime String Band plays a variety of oldtime music such as "Workin' Man Blues"/Merle Haggard, "Will the Circle be Unbroken"/The A.P.Carter Family," My Girl Josephine"/Fats Domino, ", "Tennessee Waltz", "Stagger Lee"/Lloyd Price, and "Wayfaring Stranger". It promises to be an hour you won't want to miss!!! Mark it on your calendar today.

The SWS writers are a collective group of people in the Cincinnati and Dayton area that work, study and hone the craft of songwriting. Each songwriter brings their own style of original music cultivated from musical influences and raised with the never ending search of writing a better song than the last song written. SWS is also an affiliate of the NSAI (Nashville songwriters association) which provides workshops for local writers. So come and enjoy the original sounds of the SWS songwriters.

Musician, playing with groups since mid 1960's,
As bass player, rythmn & lead guitarist, also as
back up vocalist. Took a 20 year break from music
to raise a family, and have been back in music since
2001 as a player, in clubs & festivals,with groups &
as soloist. I enjoy open mic & jam sessions and
spending time in the recoding studio.
